“All we need to do as a government is to meet the youth halfway… Today, I’m a happier person.”
Hon. Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa
On July 14, 2025, the halls of Innov8 Hub brimmed with energy and purpose as we welcomed the Honorable Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny Echono accompanied by their distinguished entourage. The atmosphere was charged not just with anticipation, but with the shared hope that together, we can shape a future where innovation is powered by Nigerians, for Nigerians.
Their visit began with a presentation that walked them through Innov8 Hub’s journey; a story of people, ideas, and the tireless pursuit of impact. From humble beginnings to national-scale programs, our milestones are a testament to what’s possible when ingenuity is met with opportunity.
But it wasn’t just numbers or achievements that spoke the loudest.
As the Minister and his delegation toured our labs and creative spaces, they saw firsthand the sparks of innovation, researchers transforming challenges into solutions, innovators building prototypes from just an idea, and inventors rethinking everyday problems with local insight. They walked the floors where prototypes are brought to life and met the minds behind tools that can change how our communities live, learn, grow, and thrive.
And in that moment, amid soldering irons, whiteboards filled with ideas, and hands stained with purpose, Nigeria’s boundless potential was impossible to ignore.

“This just says something about the capacity of our youth in this country,” the Minister said, visibly moved. “We are extremely ingenious, very innovative… What we are doing now is to see how we can move a lot of these ideas from prototype to market.”
At Innov8 Hub, that mission is at the very heart of what we do. We believe innovation is not a privilege; it is a right. It should not be limited to boardrooms or tech parks, it should be born in classrooms, tested in community labs, and scaled to streets and communities in Nigeria.
“I’ve heard so much about Innov8 Hub,” the Minister added, “and I’m not disappointed at all with what I saw. I commend everyone of you for the hard work.”
These words are more than commendation; they are a call. A call to governments, institutions, and communities to rise up and invest in our collective brilliance. A call to meet our young minds where they are, not with limitations, but with access, resources, and trust. Because the real power of Innov8 Hub lies not just in our tools or spaces; but in the stories of everyday Nigerians who walk through our doors with an idea, and walk out with a solution.
A Future Made By Us
We are humbled by the recognition and even more inspired to do more. The future of innovation in Nigeria doesn’t have to be imported; it can be grown here, built here, and owned here.
To every young person watching: your ideas matter.
To every policymaker and partner: your support can change lives.
And to every community we serve: our commitment is to you, to empower you, listen to you, and innovate with you.
Because the future isn’t coming, we are building it together.
