At Innov8 Hub, we believe that innovation is the foundation upon which national development is built. Our participation at the Defence Research & Development Seminar and Exhibition 2025 reaffirmed this belief as we joined a diverse community of thinkers, innovators, and policymakers to discuss and showcase the power of innovation in shaping Nigeria’s future.

The event featured thought-provoking lectures that explored how technology and research can serve as vital tools for national security and advancement. The first, titled “Adapting Emerging Technologies for Enhanced National Security in Nigeria,” delved into how new and evolving technologies can be harnessed to strengthen national resilience and self-reliance. The second lecture, “Strengthening National Security Through Research and Development: A Nigerian First Approach,” emphasized the importance of indigenous innovation and collaborative research in addressing Nigeria’s security and developmental needs.

For Innov8 Hub, these conversations resonated deeply with our mission. Every innovation, invention, and collaboration nurtured within our ecosystem is geared towards empowering individuals and institutions to create solutions that address real challenges; from sustainability to technology, and from enterprise to security.

At our exhibition stand, we interacted with participants, innovators, and representatives from various organizations, sharing insights on the possibilities of innovation in Nigeria. Our discussions highlighted how innovation can transcend sectors, driving solutions that not only enhance national development but also inspire communities to take ownership of progress.

A major highlight of the exhibition was our engagement with the General Christopher Gwabin Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff and his entourage during their tour of the exhibition stands. It was a valuable opportunity to discuss the intersections between defence innovation, research, and community-driven technological growth — areas that align closely with Innov8 Hub’s ongoing initiatives.
