IP Salaye is a transformative initiative designed to empower Nigerian corps members by equipping them with vital knowledge about Intellectual Property (IP) and the importance of safeguarding their innovations. This initiative, driven in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Innov8Hub, recognizes the immense potential within Nigeria’s youth, especially those serving through the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
As the nation continues to foster innovation and creativity, IP Salaye serves as a platform to bridge the knowledge gap around IP rights. Corps members—many of whom are entrepreneurs, creatives, and inventors—are introduced to the fundamentals of IP protection, including patents, copyrights, trademarks, and industrial designs.
The goal is simple but profound: to inspire a generation of innovators to own their ideas and use Intellectual Property rights to drive real-world impact.
Through workshops, interactive sessions, and real-life case studies, participants are not only educated but also encouraged to take proactive steps toward securing their innovations. By aligning with global standards through WIPO’s support, the initiative brings international best practices into the local context.
IP Salaye is more than a workshop—it’s a movement of empowerment, innovation, and ownership.
Empowering young Nigerian innovators, one idea at a time. IP Salaye is equipping corps members with the tools to protect and own their creative genius. Supported by WIPO and Innov8Hub, we’re building a future where innovation thrives under the shield of IP rights.
