A reusable multipurpose device capable of harvesting, storing, and releasing atmospheric water directly to the roots of plants. This directly contributes to the United Nations’ SDG 15, Target 15:3. Operating with the assistance of a hydrogel, the device interacts with atmospheric water through a sorption process. The absorbed water is then stored within the gel and released as the ambient temperature rises. This results in droplets forming and flowing directly to the plant roots.
