Innov8 Hub

VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL ENTERPRISE

ABOUT

The Vocational and Technical Department is the innovation and fabrication arm of Innov8 Hub. We transform environmental and industrial challenges into practical, scalable solutions through applied engineering, sustainable fabrication, material recovery, and circular production principles.

Operating as a hands-on workshop, we integrate research, collaboration, and technical execution to convert ideas into tangible, functional, and impact-driven outcomes.

What We Do

  • Develop Functional Prototypes

Turning concepts into testable, scalable physical solutions.

  • Apply Sustainable Fabrication Practices

Designing and building with efficiency, durability, and environmental responsibility in mind.

  • Deliver Applied Engineering Solutions

Bridging concept design and manufacturing through practical technical expertise.

  • Repurpose and Optimize Materials

    Creating value from underutilized resources.

  • Build Technical Capacity

Providing hands-on vocational training that equips individuals with industry-relevant skills.

SUB SECTIONS UNDER VOCATIONAL TECHNICAL DEPARTMENT

CNC & MACHINING

The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) section utilizes machining as a precise, automated subtractive manufacturing process where computer software dictates the movement of tools to remove material from a workpiece. It translates 3D design files (CAD) into instructions (G-code) to produce complex, intricate, and high-tolerance parts from metal, wood or plastic.

METALWORK

The Metalwork section implores the art and science of shaping, cutting, joining, and finishing raw metal materials (ferrous and non-ferrous) into functional tools, intricate metal parts, or massive industrial structures. Utilizing techniques like forging, welding, machining, it transforms materials such as steel, aluminum, and copper into precise, durable components.

WOODWORK

The Woodwork section engages the versatile craft of shaping, cutting, and joining wood to create functional or artistic items, ranging from furniture and cabinetry to sculptures. It involves selecting materials, employing hand or power tools, and applying techniques like joining, turning, and finishing to transform raw material into finished products.
