Introduction:
The TETFund Alliance for Innovative Research (TETFAIR) is a year-long program that supports academics, researchers, technologists, and innovators from government tertiary institutions across Nigeria to translate their ideas into innovation, solutions, and enterprises. The 2nd and 3rd editions of TETFAIR commenced simultaneously on November 6th, 2023, featuring a hybrid of academics from polytechnics and technical colleges of education in Nigeria.
Over the duration of TETFAIR 2 & 3, participants will work on innovation in the following areas of focus:
- Agriculture and Food Technology
- Environment, Energy & Circular Economy
- Health & Accessibility
- Information Communication Technology
- Security
- Transportation, Aviation & Shipping
- Streamlining / Improving Production Process
- EdTech
TETFAIR 2 & 3: First Bootcamp
TETFAIR 2 and 3 kicked off with a one-week bootcamp primarily focusing on venture creation within the Nigerian context. At the opening event, participants were introduced to the TETFAIR program by the Head of Programs and Partnerships at Innov8 Hub, alongside the Head of Venture Programs at Innov8 Hub. Over the duration of this bootcamp, they will learn about identifying challenges in society, problem definition, market size, solution proffering solutions, and the intricacies required for a successful enterprise. These and more would feature prominently during this bootcamp.
TEFTAIR 2 & 3: A Pathway to Innovation and Venture Creation
TETFAIR is an initiative that is ushering in a paradigm shift in Nigerian academia. Under the proactive leadership of its Executive Secretary, Arc. Sonny Echono, TETFund has recognized academia as a pioneer of some of the greatest innovations known to mankind. TETFAIR is designed to bring about the much-needed Triple Helix Synergy among the Government, Academia, and Industry.
TETFAIR goes beyond innovation to support the creation of ventures. This initiative of TETFund in collaboration with Innov8 Hub will transform Nigerian academia.
